    Welcome new subscribers! I hope I can help you build a business online so you can quit your job and work at home in your pajamas.

    Many have asked me how to use the links on this blog to build an online business. Shaklee is my Primary Business; we just ended this year’s conference and I have many new things to tell you about Shaklee that will be coming to this blog soon. Once you try the products, you will tell everybody who will listen (and some who won’t :) ) about them; sharing Shaklee is one manner to build this business, but you can also build it online.

    Plug Into Green Profits, Plug Into Prospects, and New Rich Report are commission-earning affiliate websites, and you have the option of entering your Primary Business (Shaklee) website in each back-office for all your signups to view. In addition, Plug Into Prospects is a total advertising system that includes text ads, banners, and solo ads.

    Joining Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter gives you three additional places online to “advertise” your Primary Business. On these sites, you merely discuss how wonderful the Shaklee products are; you can also discuss any of your websites to build your online business.

    How To Remember Affiliate URLs

    So you’ve joined a few websites and want to advertise, but you can’t remember the exact URLs and don’t want to keep going back to each website to obtain them.

    Since you’ve joined websites and need URLs, you obviously have access to a computer, which probably has a word processing program on it. (If not, Open Office is still a free suite that includes a word processing program.) Open a new page and make a list of the websites’ names and YOUR affiliate link URLs. Save the document in a location on your computer that you will remember and name it something like “My URLs” or “My Linx”.

    The next time you need to use any of your links, open the document; then, copy and paste.

    This is also a good idea to keep copies of short ads suggested on the websites.

    1. Establish yourself as a trusted expert. People search online for information and will look to you, as a subject matter expert, to provide it to them. Every week (or whatever schedule works) provides an opportunity to build on this, while reinforcing your brand.
    2. Build a relationship with the people on your list. It’s common knowledge that people like to buy from people they like. By using Ezines to connect with readers in their homes, you can develop a relationship of familiarity and trust. Be sure to share a little about yourself or your company in every issue, whether it is an anecdote, event, or employee spotlight.
    3. Keep in touch with prospects and clients. Consider eventually developing two Ezines: one for prospects and one for clients, as each require different information. This is a great way to notify your readers of weekly specials or upcoming product launches, offer new articles or customer stories, and provide links (or URLs) to updated FAQs, blogs, and splash pages.
    4. Drive traffic to your website or blog. As noted in #3, remember to call attention to new blog posts or other changes to your website with links directly to those pages. Remind readers of your online newsletter archives. Promote special sales (maybe with discount coupon codes only for subscribers) with a link to the sales page. Use links to turn your Ezines and newsletters into “silent salespersons,” driving traffic to your website and building your lists around the clock.
    5. Build content on your website. Make a habit to adding your Ezines and newsletters to your website in an archive area. This serves a several important purposes:
      • Visitors can read an issue or two to determine if your Ezine interests them, which could help to increase sign-ups and potential sales.
      • If you optimize your article placements, you not only make your website “meatier”, but you’ll also bring new traffic from the search engines.
    6. Get feedback from your readers. Make it easy for you to stay in touch with prospects and customers and vice versa. Ask them to take action and comment on your articles and offers. Conduct polls and surveys. Start a “Letters to the Editor” column in your Ezine. Feedback allows you to fine tune your messages, target your marketing, and expand your product line. It’s also great for relationship building!
    7. Develop an information product. If you deliver your newsletter once a week and include two articles, at the end of a year you’ll have 104 well-researched articles in your portfolio! Pick the best-of-the-best and turn them into a bonus Ebook for opting-in to your list, submit to download sites to build your list, or sell in PDF-format!
    8. Grow your mailing list. Let your Ezine subscribers work for you. Be sure to remind your readers that it’s okay to forward your newsletter to anyone they’d like. In addition, it’s important to include sign-up instructions for those who received your Ezine from viral marketing methods. A simple line titled, “Get Your Own Copy of XXXXXX”, with a link to your squeeze or opt-in page, is all it takes!
    9. Gather demographic data. By offering surveys, feedback forms, and niche reports, you’ll be able to get valuable information about your prospects and customers. Learn what makes your readers tick, how to better serve them, and how to give them what they want. Make sure they become repeat customers!
    10. Save money! All of the above benefits of publishing an Ezine are free or almost free. The small cost of a top-rated Ezine publishing system is nothing compared to the cost of brochures, business cards, advertising, direct mail, pay-per-click, or other means of promotion. Not only that, but someone has to manage that production! Because you deliver your newsletter online, you can grow your list as large as you want without worrying about the expense. Bottom line, it’s proven that email marketing is the most cost-effective marketing solution for companies just like yours!

    Top 15 Ways to Build Your Subscriber List

    Email marketing can be profitable for any business, no matter what kind of product or service you offer. It is significantly cheaper than other advertising methods and, if done right, helps build loyalty and trust with customers. As a result, you generate more sales and more profits!

    The foundation for successful email marketing is a targeted, permission-based email list. Marketers call contact lists their “goldmine” because they can generate much of their sales revenue. If you’ve built up a list of opt-in subscribers that are qualified and interested in what you have to offer, then you’ve completed the first step and are on your way. Now it’s time to “mine” for gold!

    Below you’ll find several list-building and retention ideas that will help you get the best results from all your email marketing activities:

    1. Provide useful, relevant content. Your visitors will not give you their email addresses just because they can subscribe to your newsletter free of charge. You have to provide unique and valuable information that interests or is useful to them.
    2. Add a subscription form to every page on your website. Make sure it stands out so it is easy to find; you may want to include more than one on some pages, if it doesn’t look cluttered. For instance, if your opt-in form always appears in the top-left corner of your site, you may want to add one at the end of your most popular articles.
    3. Add subscription forms to your social media pages. Make sure that you don’t waste this valuable source of revenue opportunities. Integrate your sign-up forms with Facebook, Twitter, and more!
    4. Make it easy for readers to sign up. The more information you request, the fewer people will opt-in. In most cases, a name and an email address is enough. If it’s not necessary, don’t ask for it here. You can always survey them once they’re customers! We do recommend that you provide a link to your Privacy Policy, however.
    5. Publish a Privacy Policy. Let your readers know that they can be confident you will not share their information with others. The easiest way to do this is to set up a Privacy Policy web page and provide the link to it below your opt-in form. (Note: If you don’t have one, put the words “privacy policy generator” into a search engine and you should be able to find a suitable form to use.)
    6. Provide samples of your newsletters and Ezines. This lets potential subscribers review your materials before they sign up to determine if it’s something they’d be interested in reading.
    7. Archive past newsletters and articles. An online library of past newsletters and articles is both appealing and useful to visitors and builds your credibility as an authority. In addition, if your articles are written with good SEO techniques in mind, they can increase traffic to your website through enhanced search engine positioning.
    8. Give gifts subscribers can actually use. Offer an opt-in bonus for joining your subscriber list! Write an ebook or provide a PDF business report, or even hire a programmer to create downloadable or web-based software. But don’t limit yourself to offering gifts to opt-ins. Give them out when your readers fill out a survey or provide a testimonial, success story, or a great product idea. Let them know when they can expect the next gift offer. Everyone likes to get something for free! And if you pass out “goodies” throughout the year, your subscribers will feel truly appreciated — and that’s good for business!
    9. Ask your subscribers to pass it on. Word of mouth is a powerful viral technique that works great with email marketing. If your subscribers find your content interesting, amusing, or informative, they’ll probably share it with their friends. This can be a great source of new customers, so make sure to ask them to “pass it on”.
    10. Let others reprint your newsletter as long as the content is not modified. If you’re happy to share your content with the universe, then why not! Many webmasters and newsletter publishers are actively looking for high-quality content and, if they reprint your newsletter, you’ll get new subscribers, and more traffic and links pointing to your site.
    11. Include a “Sign Up” button in your newsletter. If you’re using plain text instead of HTML, be sure to provide a text link to your subscription page. You may feel that this is not required because the subscriber is already on your list, but remember that readers will forward your newsletters to others, or reprint them online. Make it easy for them to subscribe!
    12. Add a squeeze page. A squeeze page has one goal — to acquire opt-ins and build your list. Think of it as a mini-sales letter to go along with your subscription or opt-in gift. It should feature a strong headline and a couple of powerful benefits that should make subscribers salivate to sign up! Once created, use a service such as WordTracker to find hundreds of targeted keywords, and promote your offer using pay-per-click advertising from Google, MSN, and Yahoo. Now that should make a splash!
    13. Include testimonials on your squeeze page. This is crucial. Put one or two strong testimonials from satisfied customers on your squeeze page. This can be in any format, but you may find that multimedia (audio or video) is more “believable” and inspires more people to action. To further enhance believability, get permission to use actual customer names, locations, and URLs (don’t use “Bob K, FL”). Add a note inviting others to participate. After all, it’s free publicity!
    14. Blog religiously. Blogging is a great way to communicate with prospects and potential customers, and creates a nice synergy with your email marketing. Be sure to include your newsletter sign-up form on each page of your blog. You can start a free blog at Blogger or WordPress.
    15. Post on other blogs. Post thoughtful comments and information on similar blogs with a link to your squeeze or opt-in pages. Also comment on others’ blogs through trackbacks. In most cases, your comments will be posted on their blogs with a link back to your site. This is an easy way to generate new traffic and subscribers, and get your brand out there!

    I enjoy “surfing” Traffic Ad Bar , which is a brand new FREE way to generate website traffic to my websites, and it takes just a few minutes every day.

    Unlike many other services, Traffic Ad Bar uses a level ladder that generates hits for members by using the “Daily Update Email”. I submitted five of my websites, so each day, I must view three other websites for each of my sites for a total of fifteen sites. The email is a nice reminder that I receive when I first open my email every day.

    Similar to TrafficSwarm, Traffic Ad Bar awards five to ten points per site viewed for ten seconds, not just one or a fraction of one. Plus, I receive bonus points (100 points or more) for each 25 sites I view. Since I must view at least 15 websites per day anyway, what’s a few more for an additional 100 points; the more points, the more views to my websites.

    Traffic Ad Bar changes each of my website URLs to a “trafficadbar URL” that I can use anywhere online in any ad; I earn points if someone clicks on a “trafficadbar URL”. Also, I earn points when people join under me, even as a free member.

    Traffic Ad Bar displays my ads throughout their website AND they display my ads to 1000’s of visitors to their website per day! I can use Traffic Ad Bar to advertise my websites completely without cost AND reach almost everyone on the internet!

    If I must use a traffic exchange, why not make use of one that’s a little fun and makes my time worth it!

    Promoting Your Business with TrafficSwarm

    Advertising with TrafficSwarm, a traffic exchange program, I gained many leads that became the friends that I mentor in my business. However, I employ a system that my mentor shared with me in order to earn enough credits for countless surfers to view my advertisements:

    1. You must have a minimum of 3 ads placed on TrafficSwarm (TS); TS allows you to write three different ads for the same URL, or you can use different URLs. Create an enticing title, followed by a few short sentences about your promotion.

    Use the points from the website page in the body of the ad; or, for additional help, check your business’ website for ad suggestions. However, PLEASE try to change some of the wording in the advertisements to fit your writing style and make the ads sound as if you are talking to a friend. You don’t want YOUR ad to be identical to another ad for the same company! By using some creativity, or the thesaurus tool in Word© if you have it, each ad can appear different!

    Remember proper grammar and check your spelling. Nothing turns a prospect off more quickly than poor grammar and misspelled words! Ask for my help if you need it; I am the Editing Empress!

    2. Upgrade to Pro member in TS; it is $30.00 (USD) per month and gives you 2500 credits every month plus bonus surfing credits!

    3. Turn it into 20,000 credits per month using the tool at this website: TrafficSwarm Busted. Read the information about this tool, download it, and use it EVERY DAY!

    4. Set TrafficSwarm as your homepage (2 points each time you open it, up to 20 times per day) and each day, when you open your internet software, surf  for traffic:

    • Do not spend much time on the ads
    • Enter your points in the spreadsheet, and
    • After you see the word “GO”, count to five, then click the NEXT arrow and continue.

    If you surf this way first, before you do anything else, you will not skip a day because you run out of time or forget to do it. It is somewhat cumbersome at first, but by the second week, completing a row only takes about 20 minutes. Sometimes TS can be a bit cantankerous, but it is worth the time it takes to build your points.

    More points = more people see YOUR ad!

    And wait until TS begins to award you higher and higher point totals and bonus points around week four!

    You must employ all these steps in order to see an increase in your downline but this system sends at least 100 to 200 people to view your ads; how is that for incentive?

    Start Your New Rich Report Site Correctly

    If you have just signed up with the New Rich Report Funded Sponsoring Franchise online business, congratulations! You have made a great choice to build a work-at-home business and you’re well on your way to telling your boss “goodbye” (or whatever YOU choose to tell him/her).

    To get started, log into the New Rich Report back office and select “Step1: Quick Start Setup Guide.” Follow each step; it may take a couple of hours to complete it all, but you want to set your business up correctly for the best return on your investment!

    Don’t forget to change the usernames to YOUR usernames so you enjoy the benefits of funded sponsoring; although, if you don’t change the usernames, I’ll enjoy the benefits, so it’s your choice! ;)

    Joel Broughton, the creator of this website, explains the 4 Major Parts to a Funded Sponsoring Franchise as he directs you through the setup.

    Once you have your New Rich Report site set up, proceed to “Step 2: Fast Start to Getting Results Online.” Joel tells you about the beauty of autoresponders, which are so important to any Internet marketer. Fortunately, Joel has already created emails for the autoresponder we use in New Rich; he has been in Internet Marketing for a very long time and he knows what he’s doing.

    “Step 3: Advanced Internet Marketing” introduces us to the Success Guide. Start with the first chapter and read at least one chapter per day. The idea with the Guide is that you take action on many of the marketing suggestions in order to build your business. They all work, but you’ll enjoy and be good at some more than others.

    Then, “Step 4: Primary Business Sponsoring” is kinda the whole point of joining New Rich Report . You invite people to view your primary business offering after they join you at New Rich and get to know and trust you. They can leisurely view your primary business and find out what it’s all about on their time with no pressure.

    One of the best features of New Rich is the Advertising Co-op, under the “Marketing Tools” tab. Joel explains it completely and you choose if you want to gain a few signups that way. (How do you think YOU got to be here? ;) ) In my humble opinion, it’s the best method to build traffic, especially when you first join.

    You want to earn all you can in this business, so you must set Plug Into Green Profits up properly with a Get Response autoresponder, a domain name, Green Wealth Online, and ClickBank.

    Log in to the Plug Into Green Profits‘ back office, or members’ area, with your ID number and the password you selected. Scroll down the page to the “Fast Track Members Newsletter,” and enter your name and email address so you receive Paul’s coaching and information to help you build your business.

    Beneath that is the Getting Started Guide containing two introductory videos and four modules with 12 more videos. View each video and complete the tasks each describes in order. It may take a couple of hours to complete; however, following these instructions monetizes Plug Into Green Profits with YOUR specific IDs so that business opportunity seekers who click on YOUR link are added to YOUR autoresponder and, if they purchase anything under YOUR ClickBank link, YOU receive payment. The time YOU take to set up YOUR “green” business correctly is directly proportionate to the amount of money YOU earn—DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

    Be sure to read through the emails in your autoresponder and make any necessary changes so that the emails appear to be from YOU and the links within the emails are YOUR links. Below Module 4 is a chart containing a list of emails in which you must change the link to your ClickBank link.

    Once you have all this set up, take the time to view Marketing Boot Camp and Marketing on a Budget, as well as consider the Automated Marketing Packages. I highly recommend the marketing packages as well as Video 4.1 “Guaranteed Opt In Subscribers” in Boot Camp. Between February 26th and today, I have 207 opt in members from these sources, reading the emails and thinking about joining me in this business.

    After your Plug Into Green Profits business is completely monetized, take some time to view the remaining videos in the back office. Paul Birdsall has been marketing online for years and knows this business very well. Take advantage of his knowledge; I may be able to answer some questions, too!

    Change How You Think About Viral Marketing Today

    Do you know how to market to the masses?

    Viral marketing is one of the simplest ways to generate massive traffic. However, you must keep two important things in mind: always use a back-end mechanism to direct and sell traffic, and always coordinate a massive release for your viral product. If you do not implement the viral message properly, you will receive no traffic at all.

    Creating a software demo is one of the best methods to generate viral traffic. All you do is give a semi-functional or fully functional demo copy of a piece of software away for free. Create some sort of forwarding mechanism, so all users can then send it to friends. Since software has a high perceived value, yours could be around the world quickly.

    Consider creating a viral PDF report. This is usually a 5 to 10 page report that uses some back-end upsell mechanism, or some method for traffic to opt-in or start posting on a forum. The key to making this successful is giving people the incentive to redistribute it to other people. Offer rebranding rights or allow them to give it away free.

    Setting up sites similar to photobucket, where you can share images free, is a great way to generate feeder traffic for other ventures. Free services tend to market themselves virally with minimal involvement from the owner or promoter. You can then advertise on your sites or send emails to your members.

    Consider virally marketing to college students through Facebook, which is a social networking site that is similar to MySpace. One method is to find college students who have a list of friends, and then offer them a certain amount of money to review your product and post a message about it if they like it.

    Take what you have learned in this lesson and begin working now to build your list and your income.
